Con Man

This is a poem from a girls perspective, for those people who think that their 'love' was fake. For those people that think that they were cheated.

Con Man

He came upto me in a storm,
With charisma, style and what not,
A charming man was my fantasy,
But, Ah! is he the one?

Time & time he seized control,
Feigning a dream so close,
He caught my heart in his palms,
As I lost my very stance.

Whispering things into my ears,
As giggles popped out,
Each time he said a word,
Shivers ran down my spine.

We talked we shared,
We lost control,
As promises were made,
Of a future so distant-close,
It could be held by my hands.

We got close- we got far,
Over a span of 2 weeks,
You got distant into the storm,
As I truly lost my signal.

Oh! What have you done to me,
My very little being,
For you have taken over me,
By creeping up in my thoughts.

What was I to you,
What did I mean,
Was I but a voodoo doll,
To play to your well tuned dream.

Like a rag doll put aside,
destroyed was my feelings,
Like a cigarette butt,
Was I put 'lights out'.

You are but a con man,
Lying through the way,
Making & taking things of ours,
That shouldn't be the same.

One fragile heart was cracked open,
By those nefarious hands,
Oh! For I have sinned,
For closing into your land.

This lil one will never be the same,
For I have gone through storms,
Oh nefarious lil devil,
You should watch out,
For I'll brew up a storm.

Reflected Shades

The vastness reflected in his eyes,
As he stared on to the ocean,
An amalgamation of water,
Like his very emotions depth.

Each droplet with its own shade,
Like a beautiful melody; an emotion,
With its own strike of the mellow,
Making its way to the ocean

Every trickle of water,
Every rush of the river,
A strong force rising past the dam,
Making its way to the ocean.

Buried land, buried homes,
As the water rushes through,
Beyond the routine path of heathen,
As the disastrous rain rams through.

The destination struck by the water,
Wreathing havoc as it passes on,
The beautiful pavements are dyed in,
A shade of red with a tinge of blood.

Each shade of the amalgamation,
Flow through in coherence,
The blue being the silent one,
A time of happiness and peace.

Until the shade darkens,
As the depth increases,
Swallowing the land,the animals,
As life turns devoid above the shore.

The shade of green; of jealousy,
Brings forth wonders to behold,
Each time with beautiful springs,
Each time bringing food to one's mouth.

Long past the setting sun,
The shades condense to one,
As the man is seen,
Still staring onwards the bountiful ocean.
