Reflected Shades

The vastness reflected in his eyes,
As he stared on to the ocean,
An amalgamation of water,
Like his very emotions depth.

Each droplet with its own shade,
Like a beautiful melody; an emotion,
With its own strike of the mellow,
Making its way to the ocean

Every trickle of water,
Every rush of the river,
A strong force rising past the dam,
Making its way to the ocean.

Buried land, buried homes,
As the water rushes through,
Beyond the routine path of heathen,
As the disastrous rain rams through.

The destination struck by the water,
Wreathing havoc as it passes on,
The beautiful pavements are dyed in,
A shade of red with a tinge of blood.

Each shade of the amalgamation,
Flow through in coherence,
The blue being the silent one,
A time of happiness and peace.

Until the shade darkens,
As the depth increases,
Swallowing the land,the animals,
As life turns devoid above the shore.

The shade of green; of jealousy,
Brings forth wonders to behold,
Each time with beautiful springs,
Each time bringing food to one's mouth.

Long past the setting sun,
The shades condense to one,
As the man is seen,
Still staring onwards the bountiful ocean.

~The Exorbitant Route ~

The pain of build up,
The pain of break,
Growing wild vines around,
An inescapable route.

You were once a pal,
Shoulder to shoulder,
Eye to eye,
Heart to heart,
And soul to soul,
Not a word uttered,
But even the classified within reach.

What went wrong?
Where did the drought strike,
A throbbing migraine you became,
A word uttered and pure murder,
Fight over fight,
Differences over and over again,
Not even one right,
All just wrong.

The strings tension grew weak,
Words beyond mend,
Torn apart and blazed in fire,
The sins singed by the devil,
Curse him. Ditch him. Hurt him,
Cried the nefarious being.

But beyond the darkness was the light,
There was sanity,
Pure clarity,
Mistakes done here and there
was to be amended,
Should be amended.
With a heart of hope and pure humanity,
A hand extended towards the dark,
Catching a hold of the yet to be hopeless one.

Cried and laughed did they over the silly mistakes,
Mending slowly what once was something glorious,
A sight of this
Oh! Would have been a tear in the eye,
For what beauty could go beyond this.

These mended beings now reflected light,
The very light that shone their eyes,
Ages past and lo behold there it is again,
A light that shone bright,
With a splendor of emotions.

At last one would feel a warmth in the heart,
For we are finally free,
For we are finally at home,
For we are finally at peace.
